If you enjoy the outdoors and love the ocean and fishing like we do, then you know that there is much more to fishing then just catching fish. And, because it is our desire to help you experience the truly important things about fishing; as well as help you catch “that one fish" more than just once in a lifetime. We have been busy working hard behind the scenes. We have new shapes and colors being released. These colors and shapes are currently in different phases of development and testing. We have created a new section on our website to feature these new releases. You can find this section in our Main Menu under “New Bait Shapes”. And, we invite you to take a few minutes to check-out this section. It’s our hope that you will come to more than just love our baits, like we do. For us the exciting thing about all of this is that we are just getting started with much, much, much more coming - our best baits and colors has not been released yet. (NOTE: This website is a work in progress - We are still editing and improving this website. Also, all orders are made to order, and we are working dilligently to get all of the orders out as quickly as we can. So if you need a bait shape or color right away please visit one of the retail locations that carry our baits. Thank you for your continued consideration, understanding, and support.

Just Getting Started Fishing - Hook Ideas For Our Baits

Our goal with this page is to help those who are just getting started in fishing with ideas on hook selection for our hand-injected soft plastic baits. There are many ways to set-up and use our baits.  It all comes down to your personal preference and style as well as the area that you are fishing.  If you are fishing rocky areas generally a circle hook will lessen the chances of you getting hooked up on a rock, but they still do get caught on rocks.  Circle hooks are also designed to automatically set itself in corner of the fish’s mouth when they bite the bait and turn their heads. Straight shanked J-hooks will generally get caught about anywhere in the fishes mouth and they will easily catch rocks as well.  Whatever hooks you choose to use the key is making sure they are “needle sharp”.  A sharp hook always catch more fish than a dull hook.  Always check your how sharp you hooks are and if it is dull sharpen them or change it out.   And having a good diamond file is a very helpful tool to have to keep your hooks sharp.  Here are just a few of the many hook styles and sized that we use for our baits.
